Parish People
ETHIOPIAN HOSPITAL:
The parish has adopted a teaching hospital, St.Luke’s, Wolisso, in Ethiopia, and Dr. John O’Neil is our contact with it. Various fund-raising events are arranged throughout the year. Ideas for events are always welcome.
PHOTOGRAPHY OF PARISH EVENTS:
Bernard Metcalfe acts as our "Parish Photographer". He provides photographs of most of our parish "occasions" and then, usually, displays them at the back of the church.
ASSOC. FOR THE PROPAGATION OF THE FAITH:
Many parishioners hold collection boxes for this cause. Ken Binks is the parishioner who organises the distribution and collection of the boxes.
ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY:
Is active in the parish visiting the sick and the housebound. For either calling on their support or offering some of your time to this worthy cause Denis McTiernan is the contact.
PARISH FINANCES:
These are overseen by a three man committee: Frank Gillespie & Jim Kelly with Fr. Peter.
Frank acts as parish treasurer and provides Fr. Peter with continuous support.
CHILD PROTECTION MATTER:
The parish follows diocesan guidlines in these matters. David & Cindy Flynn are our parish contacts in such issues.
