This weekend we warmly welcomed Bishop Terry who celebrated both Masses with us. After each Mass he was at the back of Church, for anybody wishing to have a word with him.
Following the morning Mass Bishop Terry presented an appreciation gift to Eileen Stockwell on her retirement as our choirmaster:

This coming Wednesday is ASH WEDNESDAY, the beginning of Lent.
Mass with distribution of Ashes is at 12.10 pm and 7 pm.
ANYTHING FOR A FIVER NIGHT
raised the generous sum of £970.00, for St. Luke's Hospital in Ethiopia. This is a marvellous effort and thanks to all who contributed in any way.
BRIDGING THE GAP
there is a conference on local poverty for all Christians at the Trinity Centre, North Ormesby, from 9.30 am till 3 pm on Thursday, 23rd February. Lunch will be provided free of charge.
FAMILY FAST DAY
is on Friday 2nd March -
PRAYER DURING LENT
Terry Doyle, who teaches the practice of Silent Meditation( Prayer without words) and whose day job is caring for those addicted to alcohol and drugs, is coming on Thursday March 1st to show how to practise Silent Meditation -
